Beyoncé Makes Grammy History With 28th Win
She is now the most decorated woman in the award show’s history.
Beyoncé made history at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night, picking up her 28th win and becoming the most decorated female artist in the award show’s history.
In addition, Beyoncé had nine nominations at this year’s ceremony, the most of any artist in 2021. Her wins included Best R&B Performance for “Black Parade,” Best Music Video for “Brown Skin Girl” and Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “Savage” with Megan Thee Stallion.
Daughter Blue Ivy, 9, also picked up an award for her appearance on Beyoncé’s song “Brown Skin Girl,” the second-youngest person to ever do so. Husband JAY-Z nabbed his 23rd win, making him the most decorated rapper in Grammy history.

Beyoncé is currently tied with record producer and multi-instrumentalist Quincy Jones for the second most Grammy wins of all time. She won her first Grammy in 2000 as part of Destiny’s Child for the song “Say My Name,” which won Best R&B Song.
Megan Thee Stallion, Jhené Aiko, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift also picked up major wins at the Grammys.
