With the NBA All-Star Game behind us and summer just around the bend, the world’s biggest footwear brands have prepared a scintillating slate of post-ASW drops. Nike, adidas ASICS and more have several compelling new styles hitting shelves over the next seven days, and HYPEBEAST‘s Weekly Footwear Drops list has narrowed them down to the 10 best. Before we dive into this week’s offerings, however, let’s take a look at what went down in footwear last week.

On the feature front, we spoke with Hall of Famer Allen Iverson about the NBA All-Star Game and his classic Reebok Question Mid “Why Not Us?” The latest installment of Sole Mates saw Central Saint Martins’ Alex Wolfe discuss his Birkenstock Rotterdam Moto Boot collaboration, and we also provided a closer look at the BBC Bee Line x Timberland Garrison Trail hiking boot.

It was a wild week for the Three Stripes, mostly thanks to Kanye West and YEEZY. The entire YEEZY March 2021 footwear collection — some styles of which are on this week’s list — was revealed, as was the forthcoming YEEZY 350 BOOST V2 “Mono Pack.” We were also given a detailed look at the Bad Bunny x adidas Forum Lo, and the clown shoe-esque TOMM¥ €A$H x adidas Superstar brought smiles to the faces of sneaker lovers around the world.

In the world of the Swoosh, the biggest news arrived at the tail end of the week thanks to Virgil Abloh’s customized Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 “Yellow” for LeBron James. Dave Ortiz’s iconic Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon” made news as well, with the announcement that it would return for Air Max Day 2021. A friends-and-family READYMADE x Nike Blazer made noise, as did the Nike SB Dunk High “Hawaii,” a USPS-inspired Nike Air Force 1 Experimental and a Florida A&M Nike LeBron 18 PE.

Jordan Brand got in on the action as well, with the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 “British Khaki” debuting in both adult and Stormi sizes. It was revealed that the Air Jordan 6 “Midnight Navy” would return later this year, we saw offical images of the Air Jordan 6 “Electric Green,” and three PEs had a moment: two Oregon Ducks Air Jordan 7s and a Marquette Air Jordan 5. Finally, New Balance fans were delighted by the AURALEE x New Balance 550.

Now that you’re up to speed, let’s get into this week’s 10 best releases Spoiler alert: you’re going to really love the lineup if you’re a Nike Dunk fan. Per usual, note that any pairs listed below may be pushed back due to the continued effects of the coronavirus and head over to HBX to check out even more new footwear styles.

Nike Dunk High “All-Star”

Release Date: March 9
Release Price: $110 USD
Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS, Asphalt Gold and Foot Locker
Why You Should Cop: Though Nike has also included an Air Foamposite One, Air Force 1 React and new Distorted DNA model in its NBA All-Star release lineup, the Dunk High “All-Star” is easily the pack’s standout. Boasting a crisp mint green and high gloss black color scheme, it also features Indianapolis — the original site of the ASG — branding, as it was produced well before the game moved to Atlanta due to the coronavirus.

Carpet Company x Nike SB Dunk High

Release Date: March 9 (Skateshops)/March 12 (Nike SNKRS)
Release Price: $125 USD
Where to Buy: Carpet Company, The Berrics Canteen and Nike SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Though it was originally delayed due to inclement weather, Carpet Company’s highly-anticipated SB Dunk High collaboration is dropping for real this week. It’s dressed in a bold blue and white color scheme and awash in special graphics, but its most interesting piece is its tear-away upper that reveals even more striking details with wear.

Nike Dunk High “Syracuse”

Release Date: March 10
Release Price: $110 USD
Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS and Foot Locker
Why You Should Cop: It’s hard to go wrong with a clean and classic Nike Dunk, and the Dunk High “Syracuse” is certainly that. First debuted in 1985 as part of the “Be True to Your School” pack, it boasts simple-yet-effective white/orange colorblocking and, funnily enough, will release almost a year to the day after 2020’s Dunk Low “Syracuse,” a style that helped kick off the current Dunk craze.

Nike Dunk Low “White/Black”

Release Date: March 10
Release Price: $100 USD
Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS and Foot Locker
Why You Should Cop: The Nike Dunk Low “White/Black” is the fourth and final Dunk to be releasing this week, and its arrival in the US will also bring a blissful end to Nike Sportswear’s spring slate of staggered regional releases. Though it’s not like the above-mentioned “Syracuse” in cut, it is in two-tone colorblocking — using a time-honored combination of black and white to maximum effect.

UNDERCOVER x Nike OverBreak SP

Release Date: March 11
Release Price: $160 USD
Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: After February’s European release, the UNDERCOVER x Nike OverBreak SP is now set for a US arrival. Based around special rose branding, bold toe hits and beefy React midsoles, it’s a worthy addition to the storied UNDERCOVER x Nike collaborative canon and an apt lifestyle choice for all types of sneakerheads.

Nice Kicks x adidas Ultra4D “Have a Nice Day”

Release Date: March 12
Release Price: $250 USD
Where to Buy: Nice Kicks
Why You Should Cop: Another entrant on this week’s list that’s releasing later than expected, the Nice Kicks x adidas Ultra4D “Have a Nice Day” supplies a potent black and white spiral pattern on its upper and continues Nice Kicks’ rich history of tie-dyed Trefoil collaborations. Though its stated aim of “[putting] a positive spin on the practice of social distancing” is a heady one, it’s got the look and the tech to back its light-hearted ethos up.

Kengo Kuma x ASICS Metaride AMU

Release Date: March 12
Release Price: ¥39,600 JPY (approximately $374 USD)
Where to Buy: ASICS Japan
Why You Should Cop: Tenured architect Kengo Kuma and ASICS are back cookin’ up again, and have created a second Metaride AMU. With an ultra-unique upper inspired by Japanese bamboo knitting and a look that’s at once traditional and futuristic, Kuma’s ASICS’ may just be the week’s most unique release — and could be next week as well, as you’ll have another shot at them on March 19 if you miss out this time around.

adidas YEEZY BOOST 700 V2 “Cream”

Release Date: March 12
Release Price: $240 USD
Where to Buy: adidas and YEEZY Supply
Why You Should Cop: With the adidas YEEZY line focusing its attention on latter-day models, being surprised by the release of YEEZY BOOST 700 V2 this week is understandable. But yes, the second model in the 700 line is indeed returning this week — in a style that draws heavily from the 700 V2’s inaugural “Static” colorway, but adds a few tweaks.

Air Jordan 1 High “Patina”

Release Date: March 13
Release Price: $170 USD
Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS and Foot Locker
Why You Should Cop: Worn, aged and faded Air Jordan 1s seem to be all the rage these days, and Jordan Brand is fueling the trendy fire with the Air Jordan 1 High “Patina.” Bronzed on the toe, similar to an Air Jordan 1 “Shadow” towards the heel and boasting a yellowed midsole, it’s an interesting take on what’s unquestionably the most singular silhouette in Jordan Brand’s retro lineup.

adidas YEEZY BOOST 380 “Covellite”

Release Date: March 15
Release Price: $230 USD
Where to Buy: adidas and YEEZY Supply
Why You Should Cop: It’s rare that a Monday release sneaks into this list, but as Best Footwear Drops is published on Tuesdays we reserve the right to extend the week a touch, especially if there’s a good release that would otherwise be missed. The adidas YEEZY BOOST 380 “Covellite” is one of those releases, an elegant, dark-toned take on one of Kanye West’s newer models. Though its arrival is still pending official word from adidas, it’s a decidedly worthy conclusion to this list of 10.
