adidas Originals' ZX 8000 Has Morphed Into a Reebok Instapump Fury
The ZX Pump combines classic “Aqua” and “Citron” tones for a mashed-up hybrid sneaker.

While recent headlines have divulged of adidas‘ plans to divest from Reebok over the course of the next five years, the brands’ partnership still runs strong as proven by the duo’s latest collaboration: the adidas Originals x Reebok ZX Pump.
Developed as part of adidas Originals’ ongoing “A-ZX” series, the ZX Pump stands in for Z and follows on from the duo’s BOOST-equipped Reebok Instapump Fury from 2019. Here, the style draws from the ZX 8000 and, of course, the Instapump Fury, combining the two with premium materials and signature design details that frequent in both of the brands’ respective sneaker lines.
The iconic ZX 8000 “Aqua” colorway is mashed with the Instapump Fury’s signature “Citron” look, which creates a base of “Aqua” colored mesh that sits alongside a matching suede toe bumper and is overlayed with the Fury’s classic upper body in the vivid green-yellow hue. Additionally, adidas and Reebok’s pair features the ZX 8000 heel clip, a white-and-red Instapump Fury sole unit, Pump technology situated on top of the shoe’s tongue for securing the pair on your feet and adjusting the fit, Three Stripes on the sidewalls, and contrasting dual-branding on the vamp. Rounding out the pair are the shoe’s sock liners that are aptly co-branded.
adidas Originals and Reebok’s ZX Pump can be seen above and is set for a global release on adidas’ website on March 19, costing $180 USD. Take a closer look at the mashed-up pair above.
