Just 90 Toyota Supra "Jamara Racetrack Editions" Will Be Made Exclusively for Europe
Featuring a 335 BHP straight-six, a special “Horizon Blue” paint job, and other details that set this model apart from the base Supra.
The 2021 Toyota Supra is already a special car in its own right, but now the MK5 Supra has been given an overhaul by Toyota‘s Gazoo Racing (GR) division to become the highly-limited “Jamara Racetrack Edition.”
The Jamara is the famous Spanish race circuit that was used by the media to test the original GR Supra, and in honor of this Toyota has created 90 of these “Jamara Racetrack Edition” Supras exclusively for Europe — with just 30 heading to the United Kingdom.
All 90 will be finished in an exclusive “Horizon Blue” paint job and will feature contrasting matt black 19-inch forged alloy wheels and a cabin upholstered in black Alcantara with blue stitching. Inside, you’ll find a carbon fiber dashboard bearing its unique production number and an outline map of the Jarama race circuit, as well as all the standard creature comforts such as a 10-speaker audio system and an 8.8-inch TFT touchscreen infotainment system.
As for power, the “Jamara Racetrack Edition” features the Supra’s standard straight-six three-liter engine that’s good for 335 BHP and 500Nm of torque, equating to a 0-62 MPH time of 4.3 seconds. However, the model has been fettled with underneath, featuring a GR-tuned performance chassis that uses the Golden Ratio to reconfigure its track and wheelbase proportions, enabling even better handling and vehicle control.
For now, no price has been announced but expect it to cost well-over the base price of £51,384 GBP (or $50,990 USD in the USA).
