James Gunn and Margot Robbie Have Discussed Working on New Harley Quinn Project
The Australian actress is reprising her role in Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad.’
A new Harley Quinn film from James Gunn and Margot Robbie is potentially on the table.
The director revealed the news via an Instagram Story Q&A, answering a fan who asked if he and the actress will be working on more Harley Quinn projects in the future. “Margot and I discussed this just the other day,” he wrote. “We will have to see what happens!”
Robbie has appeared as the DC Comics character on three separate occasions, first in 2016’s Suicide Squad, then in the 2020 solo film Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) and next in the upcoming standalone sequel The Suicide Squad. Her future projects include the live-action Barbie film co-written by Greta Girwig and the reboot of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
Gunn, on the other hand, prepping for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Coyote vs. Acme, both of which are set for a 2023 release.
