Following an official look, CLOT has now launched its campaign for the 2021 release of the Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death.” The in-depth look at the shoe returning after 15 years, highlights an updated construction with a new focus on premium materials and a take on deconstructed style centered around the ancient concept of “Qi.”

Originally released all the way back in 2006 to celebrate the opening of China’s first sneaker boutique ACU. The CLOT x Nike Air Max 1”Kiss of Death” served to kick off CLOT founders Edison Chen and Kevin Poon‘s mission to bridge the East and the West. the shoe is centered around the ancient concept of “Qi.”

Returning for Air Max Day 2021, the re-release serves to pay homage to the original by maintaining much of the coveted design. Most notably is the new transparent TPU perforated toe cap reimagined for wearability why still remaining see-through. The major changes on the shoe come in the form of a reflective red heel tab on the upper and updated graphics that appear on the insoles and outsole. Continuing the Chinese traditional medicine inspiration each shoe comes with a special shoebox that marks the update to CLOT’s iconic first Nike collaboration.

Priced at $1,099 HKD (approximately $142 USD), the CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” will be available starting February 27 at JUICE locations worldwide and at special pop-up activations in Hong Kong (JUICE Fashion Walk), Shanghai (JUICE Julu Rd.), Taipei (JUICE Taipei), Taichung (JUICE Taichung), Guangzhou (JUICE Taikoo Hui), Shenzhen (JUICE MIxC World) and Chengdu (JUICE IFS).
