Netflix‘s JEEN-YUHS trilogy documentary following Kanye West‘s rise to global stardom is slated to premiere at the 2022 Sundance Festival in January.

The doc, directed by Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah, will then hit Netflix for widespread streaming at an undisclosed date later next year.

“Shot over 20 years, this documentary trilogy is an intimate and revealing portrait of Kanye West’s experience, showcasing both his formative days trying to break through and his life today as a global brand and artist,” Netflix wrote of the project on Twitter.

The trailer, which was released in September, sees decades-old footage of Ye and Mos Def (Yasiin Bey) going back and forth on lyrics that would eventually land on “Two Words” from West’s debut record, The College Dropout.

JEEN-YUHS includes a vast range of never-before-seen videos from Ye’s early career. Though Kanye is not involved in the documentary himself, he did approve Simmons and Ozah’s footage for usage in the film. According to a report from Billboard, the documentary was sold for more than $30 million USD in April.

Elsewhere, The Matrix: Resurrections has revealed its Japanese character posters.
