The month of December has moved so quickly that’s it’s almost unbelievable that the Christmas festivities have concluded, but later this week we can celebrate and finally ring in the new year. To coincide with the last handful of days in 2021, the most notable footwear brands such as Jordan Brand, Nike, adidas and more have assembled an impressive roster of new footwear drops. However, before we get to those, let’s first get you all up to speed with the top sneaker headlines that ensued in the last week.

HYPEBEAST‘s Sole Mates series continued with a new installment of course, and this time entailed an interview with Kuwaiti sneakerhead and founder of OTB KicksTQ about his deeper ties to the Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic.” In terms of new news, A ton of major upcoming items surfaced on Nike’s behalf last week. Vintage Dunks in multiple colorways were unveiled, the Stüssy x Nike Air Force 1 Mid in black and white showed off its official images, closer shots of the ACRONYM x Nike Blazer Low “Night Maroon” popped up and first photos of the Nike SB Dunk Low “St. Patrick’s Day” emerged. Jordan Brand made sure to get in its fair share of new previews as well as it revealed the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chinese New Year,” unleashed detailed imagery of the Air Jordan 13 “Court Purple” and showed off more pictures of the forthcoming Air Jordan 1 High OG “Heritage.”

Other major sportswear brands in the space also chimed in with some exciting products on the way. Jerry Lorenzo gave us a sneak peek into what he’s got cooking up on the Fear of God x adidas front and also dropped a holiday California “Seafoam” colorway. Additionally, size? and Reebok worked together on trail-friendly Zig Kinetica and Club C makeups, Louis Vuitton revealed vivid “Runner Tatic” sneakers and Balenciaga brought its rugged Defender silhouette to light.

Why You Should Cop: Supreme and Timberland are two brands that have a rich collaborative history, and to end the year off with a bang, it has linked up with the MLB and the New York Yankees for a fresh Field Boot collection. The kicks are engineered with waterproof uppers, jacquard Yankees logos on the canvas side panels and tongues as well as Timberland insignias that are debossed into the heels. The streetwear stalwart’s famous box logo also arrives on the collars, tongue tags and insoles.
