Sportswear powerhouses Reebok and adidas have come together to deliver a “Damenosis” collaboration through NBA icons Shaquille O’Neal and Damian Lillard. Back in 2020 as part of their summer hoops edition, the duo last brought together legendary guards Allen Iverson and James Harden.

Meshing the worlds of hip hop, hoops and sneakers, the partnership features two designs that showcase both players’ affinity for creative expression and music. adidas’ Dame 7 EXPLY “Damenosis” series consists of pairs that are each presented as a musical “track” as a nod to Lillard’s passions on and off the court. The final sneaker will be a surprise joint effort between both players.

26 years after its first official debut, the Reebok Shaqnosis gets a “Damenosis” treatment with the fusion of Lillard’s signature shoe and Shaq’s iconic colorway. The uppers and tooling present a subtle faded look as inspired by the unforgettable “Shaq Fu” hat image while the three eyestays found at the top resemble RCA connector cables. Both players’ brand logos are embroidered at the heel to seal the collaborative effort altogether.

“For a legend who has done so well on and off the court being willing to attach his name to mine and connecting over a shoe, that’s a special honor,” said Lillard in a recent video interview with O’Neal.

The Reebok Shaqnosis “Damenosis” retailing for $150 USD along with the adidas Dame 7 EXPLY “Damenosis” are both slated to release globally on October 19 at select retailers and on Reebok and adidas.

In case you missed it, Carmelo Anthony’s 1-of-1 Air Jordan 1 Low “Baltimore Crab” is a nod to his hometown.
