Needles Recreates Baracuta’s Iconic G9 Jacket In Paisley Prints
Channeling the brand’s love of Steve McQueen.
Following the dual-pattern prints on the recently released WACKO MARIA collaboration, Baracuta teams up with the Japanese label Needles to reinterpret its iconic G9 jacket.
With the Needles logo itself inspired by Steve McQueen’s chest tattoo in the 1973 prison-escape thriller Papillion and the actor being synonymous with the jackets, it was only right the two brands joined forces. Delving into Baracuta’s archives, the offering translates the G9 in a corduroy makeover adorned in an all-over Paisley print arriving in five colorways.
Blending both brands’ design cues, the bold colors are a touch of Needles aesthetic whilst the styles maintain Baracuta’s Fraser tartan lining, two-button collar and the G9’s signature umbrella back yoke.
