Isaiah Rashad Delivers "THIB" Visual
A cut from his latest album, ‘The House Is Burning.’
Isaiah Rashad has dropped off a music video for “THIB,” the title track from his latest album.
Directed by Gus Bendinelli, the accompanying visual begins with an exploding and burning house — alluding to the title The House Is Burning — and sees the TDE artist driving around the neighborhood, attending a party and getting sucked into a mirror. It ends with a clip of Rashad finishing up a painting of himself, harking back to the themes of Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Rashad touched on why he titled the album The House Is Burning:
“It’s like a scenario that you either can lay down with the flames or die from trying to hold on to material things and shit like that, or you can get out in a timely manner. And if it all burns down, you still going to try to figure it out, right? Because if not, you might as well just lay in that motherf*cker. You got to start over. Shit, sometimes you got to start over two, three, four times, man. Five times, six times. It’s just that type of shit. That’s all it means.”
