Chinese New Year is just around the corner, and in honor of the national holiday Reebok has wrapped its Instapump Fury OG in a very apt colorway of “Chalk/Gold Metallic/China Red.”

Furthermore, Reebok makes this pair even more special by modeling it like-for-like on the original 1994 style. It features “Chalk” leather components on its toe box, underlying mid-panel section and heel, with the latter sporting Chinese typography on its heel in “Gold Metallic” embroidery.

“Gold Metallic” is also used for the overlaying panels all around the sneaker, covering the toe box, mid-panel sections, vamp, and subsequently the air-filled Pump elements.  More gold-toned embroidery can be found on the tongue detailing Reebok’s branding and signature stamp, while the Pump pressure toggle has also been emblazoned with gold branding.

“China Red” has been used sparsely and is only just visible through the shoe’s mid-panel holes where you’ll notice the bold color covering the sneaker’s footbed. Rounding out the pair is a white midsole equipped with a carbon fiber plate, as per the original design.

Reebok’s Instapump Fury OG CNY “Chalk/Gold Metallic/China Red” can be seen in the gallery above and purchased at stockists such as mita sneakers now for ¥ 19,000 JPY excluding tax (approx. $183 USD). Take a closer look at the limited-edition pair above.
