Bootleg and basketball remain at the core of the brand’s identity so when exploring the relationship between creativity and the sport, Converse was the obvious match. With two sneakers in the offering, it has revisited the iconic Chuck 70 silhouette in a “Cappuccino” brown, embroidering its signature colorful paint-drip detailing into the upper and printed midsole. The second being the classic Pro Leather sneaker coming in a warm, wheat-colored suede and given a similar paint treatment.
The sneakers are complemented by basketball-inspired apparel including a “Cappuccino” half-zip hoodie contrasted by a “Mustard” hood and chenille embroidered branding, “Mustard” basketball shorts, and a minimal white tee featuring a line drawing of a dog in Converse’s Chuck’s and Pro Leathers on its 4 legs. The collection is made complete with a basketball bag, adorned with the same hand-stitched detailed graphics.
The Bandulu x Converse capsule collection is set for global release February 11 on the Bandulu website, Converse and select retailers. The basketball bag will then be launched in limited quantities on March 29 via Bandulu and Converse.
