Limited Edt, SBTG, and ASICS came together back in December 2020 for the release of their collaborative GEL-LYTE IIIMonsoon Patrol II,” and now the trio has returned for a highly-limited version of this sneaker.

In a similar theme to its three-way-designed pair from 2018 and the aforementioned collaboration above, the new limited version draws inspiration from discovery, exploration and Singapore’s monsoon season. As touched upon in the previous post, the ultra-exclusive pair here is served in “Black/Black,” while the more widely available collaborative offering dropped in a fitting “Lichen Green/Piedmont Grey.”

This all-black version is exclusive to Singapore and while 300 pairs may have been produced, only 72 will be sold to the general public. The pair features plenty of luxurious materials throughout, with quilted leather making up the toe box and “Monsoon Patrol”-branded lace shroud, hairy suede taking form on the mid-panel, and smooth suede being used for the branding. Elsewhere, the pair taps into its hardwearing nature with metal lace locks and a bright orange rope lacing system that weaves over the shoe’s entire upper, coming to a drawcord-equipped point at the heel.

Take a look at the Limited Edt x SBTG x ASICS GEL-LYTE III “Monsoon Patrol II” in “Black/Black” above. In order to get your hands on a pair, you will need to have bought the previous colorway that also comes with a coded dog tag, which will give you a code that will or will not enable you to access the exclusive all-black colorway, depending on your luck. Furthermore, customers who purchased the first colorway will also be in with a chance of finding a “Golden Card” hidden in the shoebox, which will enable you to win the “Black/Black” pair and the 2018 collaboration. For more information, head over to the Limited Edt website, where the pair will drop on January 7 for $249 SGD (approx. $190 USD).

In other news, Yoon Ahn has teased a pair of AMBUSH x Nike Dunk Highs in a “Chicago” colorway.
