Samuel Ross‘ progressive label A-COLD-WALL* has returned for Fall/Winter 2021, debuting its Men’s Fashion Week collection in a film dubbed Untitled.

Backed by a soundtrack produced by Kelvin Krash, which transforms from ethereal techno to something more experimental and eventually developing into the realms of grime, Untitled showcases the London-based designer’s work in a sparse, “Big Brother Is Watching You” kind of atmosphere with security cameras and voyeuristic spotlights zooming in and focusing on subjects in the film.

The set is minimal, to say the least, with a room being filled with a single triangular shape that’s surrounded by foilage and rocks, shaping out the naturally-formed runway. On that runway, you’ll spot collaborations with sunglasses brand RETROSUPERFUTURE, a continuation of ACW*’s relationship with luxury outerwear label Mackintosh, and plenty of standout footwear. Most notably, the label has collaborated with Dr. Martens once again, looking like a zip-cowled pair of 1461s, while in-house offerings include a new pair of leather slippers, a pair of technical German Army Trainer-looking sneakers, and a pair of slim-fitting boots.

In terms of clothing, the new collection expands on SS21 as Samuel Ross continues to refine the brand’s image. Here, we see the designer’s typical design tropes of workwear and tech gear shown through technical zip-up jackets, gilets, and trouser options, all combined with an elevated and interpretative take on formal wear. Standouts include a pleated pajama look that transcends loungewear, as well as a deconstructed and free-flowing brown suit, a range of graphic and geometrically-informed sweaters, and a strong range of coats such as the purple double-breasted piece.

The entire A-COLD-WALL* FW21 collection can be seen in the Oliver Matich-shot lookbook above, where you’ll also find the film Untitled. Take a closer look above and on the A-COLD-WALL* microsite, and expect pieces to roll out into stores and online in the coming months.

In other news, Burberry has presented its FW21 pre-collection.
