VETEMENTS is calling out Balenciaga for copying its T-shirt design. What exploded onto the market as one of the most influential brands over the last decade, VETEMENTS, is now accusing the Parisian luxury house for a design that Demna Gvasalia, ironically enough, was responsible for on both sides. This comes just a year after Gvasalia left VETEMENTS to focus on Balenciaga.

VETEMENTS took to Instagram to share a split image comparing one shirt from each label side-by-side. The caption reads an all-caps “WTF.” Both pieces are black and display a motif of a blue nametag sticker. VETEMENTS’ T-shirt reads “CAPITALISM” under the “HELLO my name is” print, while Balenciaga’s reads a cheeky “Demna” — VETEMENTS’ piece is a T-shirt; Balenciaga’s, a long-sleeve. Balenciaga has yet to respond, but comments on the post have been greatly polarizing. It’s also interesting to point out that FUCT originally had the nametag in blue for a graphic tee as far back as the early ’90s.
