Despite its minimal branding, everyone is going to know exactly what these are.

Kerby Jean-Raymond‘s progressive label Pyer Moss has introduced its first-ever in-house sneaker, called the Sculpt.

Following numerous collaborations with Reebok, delivering divisive futuristic sneakers using the sportswear giant’s iconic Fury technology, comes the brand’s latest piece. It’s undoubtedly the work of Jean-Raymond, served in the inaugural colorway of black and yellow while sporting a truly unique design.

The Sculpt is almost un-branded (bar the tonal embossing on the midsole), but it doesn’t need to be when the silhouette is as recognizable as this. It’s a mid-top bootie that slopes downwards towards the toe, served in a mixture of black mesh and suede panels with white topstitching. The Sculpt then sits atop a generously oversized yellow sole unit that’s architecturally informed, sporting bulbous and rounded outsole pods, a bumper at the toe and rear, and carved-out details on the side.

At the front the sneaker becomes even more interesting. Its profile is asymmetrical thanks to off-set topstitching, while mesh and suede panels form a cutout section on the mesh tongue. At the sides, you’ll see stretch webbing to help you put the shoes on, and a toggle rope lacing system to secure them in place.

Pyer Moss’ unisex Sculpt sneaker retails for $595 USD and will be available from Pyer Moss’ website on October 3 at 12 p.m. EST. Take a closer look at the pair above.
