Despite the summer 2020 Olympics in Tokyo being postponed, Nike is set to re-release its much-loved 2004 Air Force 1 “Olympic” later this fall.

The pair is a like-for-like recreation of the 2004 original, presenting an upper that is covered in the colors of the Olympic rings. At the front, you’ll see a toe and vamp served in silver, while the mid-panel, eyestay, and tongue are black. Nike splits the rear into red and green on either side, which is seperated down the middle thanks to a lime green heel tab that’s finished with black “NIKE AIR” embroidery.

Elsewhere, the pair features silver swoosh logos on the mid-panels, a bright blue sock liner, and gold branding on the tongue and insole. What makes this pair even more special — aside from them being remade — is that the uppers tear away to reveal metallic underlays.

Silver, gold, and bronze tones adorn the upper once worn away, showcasing a variety of flags printed onto the fabric. Each segment on the upper is outlined by the previous color, meaning there are touches of red, lime green, black, silver, and blue all around the shoe even once it’s been worn-out.

A white Air-equipped sole unit is fitted with a black outsole and black stitching, neatly off-setting the bold colors found above. Nike is set to release the Air Force 1 “Olympic” sometime this fall for $190 USD. Take a closer look at the pair above, and be sure to keep an eye out for their official release on Nike’s website.
