KAWS recently unveiled a large-scale sculpture of his new WHAT PARTY figure at K11 Art & Cultural Centre in Hong Kong. The statue is a giant, white-colored iteration of his most recent collectible figures featuring an updated take on his CHUM character — one of KAWS’ earliest subjects that features a bulbous form that resembles the Michelin Man mascot.

“Continuing in the tradition of pop art and central to his practice, this sculpture is an exploration of humanity, prompting us to live with compassion in our current times. Come by K11 Sculpture Park to see it yourself now,” said K11 in a statement.

WHAT PARTY was first unveiled by the Brooklyn Museum in a teaser image to announce its upcoming major survey on KAWS to launch at the institution in February 2021. The show will feature over 100 objects on display including drawings, paintings, bronze sculptures, furniture and large-scale wooden sculptures of COMPANION.
