Sucker up To the Jolly Rancher X New Balance KAWHI Collection
Featuring a KAWHI signature shoe in “Original Flavor” and “Blue Raspberry,” as well as 327s, 480s, slides, and a T-shirt.
New Balance and the NBA MVP Kawhi Leonard have worked with his favorite childhood candy brand, Jolly Rancher, for a new sneaker and apparel collection.
Centered around the basketball player’s signature New Balance KAWHI sneaker, the collection offers everything from a pair of 327s and 480s to sport slides and a T-shirt, each inspired by a colorful bag of Jolly Rancher sweets. The collaboration brings two colorways, “Original Flavor” and “Blue Raspberry,” which the former adorning the KAWHI and 480, and the latter taking on the 327 and slide.
New Balance
“Blue Raspberry” has also been used for an even more limited-edition version of the KAWHI that will only drop exclusively at New Balance and Foot Locker’s family brands. The KAWHI features a complex mixed-material upper that’s dressed in all of the Jolly Ranchers colors, or more simply in the aforementioned “Blue Raspberry” hue, and features Jolly Ranchers’ classic characters and moniker on the shoe’s tongue. There is even a character on the collar with a speech bubble over it saying, “HAHAHA!” while looking very unimpressed.
New Balance and Jolly Rancher have taken a more subtle approach with the 327 in its “Blue Raspberry” and green colorway, and do the same for the predominantly white 480 — bar for also gracing its tongue with Jolly Ranchers’ gang. The slides are white, blue, and are finished with a strap covered in characters.
The entire collection is expected to drop in late October, with prices ranging from $35 USD for the slide sandal to $160 USD for the KAWHI signature shoes. Take a closer look above, and keep an eye out for the release on New Balance and Foot Locker‘s websites.
