Several music artists have come together to create Good Music to Avert the Collapse of American Democracy, a charity compilation album championing voters’ rights for the 2020 election.
The 40-track project includes contributions from the likes of Hayley Williams, R.E.M., Phoebe Bridgers, Jamila Woods, (Sandy) Alex G, Rostam, Sudan Archives, Best Coast, Flume, Tycho and more. Previously unreleased recordings and covers make up most of the compilation album, while OBEY founder Shepard Fairey designed the album art.
Good Music to Avert the Collapse of American Democracy drops September 4 via Bandcamp, and will only be available for 24 hours. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to voters rights organization Fair Fight.
Elsewhere in music, Kendrick Lamar was spotted reportedly filming a new music video.
