Apple Music Partners With Howard University for Special Live Event Rap Life

Apple Music has partnered with Howard University for a special live event called Rap Life, rostered with a star-studded lineup.

The event sees performances by Nas, Lil Baby, Rapsody and Wale, with Ebro, Nadeska, and LowKey as hosts. In a statement, Ebro clarified one of the main goals of the event: “The Rap Life team’s main objective was to use our voice and tools to show support and solidarity with students, artists and activists around the nation rising up to make sure the world knows that Black Lives Matter.” He added, “we plan to bring Rap Life Live to more HBCU campuses because these institutions are part of the backbone of Black communities and Hip-Hop is from the Black experience.” Besides performances from the aforementioned artist, Rap Life features interviews with various Howard University students, like student association president Rachel Howell and Miss Howard University Taylor Davis, where conversations about how the Black community and Black youth are being affected today.
