21 Savage and Metro Boomin Drop 'Savage Mode 2' Trailer Featuring Morgan Freeman
The highly-anticipated followup is almost here.
21 Savage and Metro Boomin have officially announced the release date of their highly-anticipated collab Savage Mode 2 with a trailer narrated by Morgan Freeman.
Directed by Gibson Hazard, the visual opens at a graveyard and zooms in at the two working in a studio just next to the area. A pair of masked men break into the home while Morgan Freeman breaks down the meaning of Savage Mode — “Basically, this means when someone is in Savage Mode, they are not to be f*cked with.” — and 21 Savage and Metro Boomin are suddenly attacked and injured by the masked men. They gather the rest of their strength and manage to leave the house, leaving viewers to find out that another version of the two were the men in masks all along.
Savage Mode dropped in July 2016 and was well-received by critics and fans alike. 21 Savage and Metro Boomin have been quite busy in the four years that passed, with the rapper releasing Issa Album and the GRAMMY-nominated project i am > i was and the producer dropping Not All Heroes Wear Capes and working on the biggest hits with the likes of Future and Post Malone.
Watch the trailer above. Savage Mode 2 drops October 2.
