2020 CFDA Fashion Awards Honor Kerby Jean-Raymond's Pyer Moss, Telfar Clemens and Kim Jones
Christopher John Rogers, Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli and Gabriela Hearst also received nods.

Despite the ills facing the fashion industry, it’s nothing if not resilient; Fashion Month will continue unabated and the CFDA has followed through with its 2020 Fashion Awards, selecting a group of American creatives and international counterparts that best represent the business’ prime movers and shakers. 2020’s winners “represent the most diverse group of recipients in the 39-year history of the awards,” CFDA explained in a statement, honoring a variety of Black creatives alongside Uruguay- born Gabriela Hearst.
Kerby Jean-Raymond has received the nod for American Menswear Designer of the Year for his work at Pyer Moss, while Telfar Clemens‘ eponymous imprint won the American Accessories Designer of the Year slot. Christopher John Rogers, meanwhile, scooped the American Accessories Designer of the Year award. On the international front, Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli and Dior menswear director Kim Jones received prizes for International Women’s and Men’s Designer of the Year, respectively.
All of the American designers are first-time CFDA Fashion Award winners and were selected by the CFDA Awards Guild, a group of “leading fashion journalists, stylists, and top retail executives.” The CFDA Fashion Awards are also issuing a series of $25,000 USD scholarships to seven graduating fashion students.
Jean-Raymond most recently announced a partnership with Kering to establish Your Friends in New York, a new creative platform.
