03 Greedo and Chief Keef Connect for New "Bands In Da Basement" Music Video
Featuring the two rappers as kids.
03 Greedo is currently serving 20 years in prison on drug trafficking and possession of firearm charges, but he’s eligible for release in five years pending good behavior. In the meantime his collaborators have kept his music steadily flowing, his latest being an excellent collaborative effort with Ron-RonTheProducer: Load It Up Vol. 1.
Today Chief Keef and Greedo connect for the “Bands In Da Basement” music video, replacing Greedo’s absence with a child-version of himself dressed in purple and drinking a grape soda throughout. The All The Smoke-directed visual also intercuts never-seen-before backstage footage of Greedo and shots of his final performances before turning himself in. Chief Keef makes a cameo appearance through grainy handheld shots, too.
03 Greedo rounded out last year with his Kenny Beats collaboration Netflix & Deal. Meanwhile Chief Keef is readying the release of his upcoming Mike WiLL Made-It collaboration with songs like “Bang Bang.”
