T1 Entertainment & Sports Signs Exclusive Multi-Year Deal With Twitch
The Esports organization behind Faker’s team.
South Korean Esports organization T1 Entertainment & Sports — a joint venture between SK Telecom and Comcast Spectacor — has now signed a new exclusive, multi-year deal with streaming platform Twitch. The deal marks an extension of its current partnership which sees an exclusive streaming arrangement for T1’s League of Legends team, featuring one of the world’s top plays, Lee Sang-hyeok aka Faker.
“T1 is excited to expand its partnership with Twitch beyond the League of Legends team and Korean markets,” said T1’s CEO Joe Marsh in a statement. “As T1 continues to grow its global presence, we know that Twitch is the best streaming platform for our players and content creators to connect with fans around the world.” Faker also commented: “The team and I are pleased to continue streaming our gameplay and connecting with our fans through Twitch. I hope that our fans will continue to show their support.”
T1’s new deal with Twitch comes after a series of other partnerships with large names, including Nike, BMW, Logitech G, Samsung Odyssey, Klevv, One Store, Secret Lab, and Douyu.
Elsewhere in gaming, Street Fighter V‘s final season will bring on Rival Schools characters.
