Kali Uchis and Rico Nasty Share New Music Video for "Aquí Yo Mando"
Kali’s sophomore album will be her first Spanish language project.
Kali Uchis‘s sophomore record is on the way, and the GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter will be releasing the album as her first Spanish language project. After debuting “Aquí Yo Mando” featuring Rico Nasty, the duo returns for the official music video with Rico’s signature rockstar aesthetic amplified throughout with larger-than-life hairstyling and some matching wardrobes.
The video was directed by Phillipa Price with the instrumental created by reggaeton hit-maker Tainy alongside Albert Hype, Jon Leone, and Rvnes. The project follows her recent surprise EP To Feel Alive, four tracks that she made through the early stages of the coronavirus quarantines to hold her fans over. Back in late-April she also released her visual for “i want war (BUT I NEED PEACE)” – an outer-space odyssey that channeled The Twilight Zone as she sang about lost love in English. “To my fans and new listeners; I pray this song makes you feel tasty and powerful, thank you!” Kali said in a recent press release.
