Emerging Inclusive Label OPEN/END Champions Gender Equality in First-Ever Collection
The Tokyo-based brand spotlights illustrations by the artist duo Sundae Kids.

Emerging Tokyo-based brand OPEN/END puts inclusivity first. The label has presented its first-ever collection and has enlisted the Bangkok-based artist duo Sundae Kids for a range of wardrobe staples and accessories, spanning T-shirts, sweaters, and shorts.
OPEN/END aims to raise awareness and visibility within its community, and prides itself on its unisex clothing that is fit for everyone. The brand’s message is that everyone is unique and beautiful and that we shouldn’t be bound by sexuality or race. Furthermore, it’s a young brand that is dedicated to working alongside artists, giving them a wider platform to create.
Each piece features an illustration penned by Sundae Kids, channeling a message of gender equality that both the brand and the artist support. The comic-like graphics depict characters in numerous situations, such as one walking up a set of stairs, another melancholically sitting on a chair, and a group of others hanging out.
Pieces are then finished with text, ranging from the brand’s moniker to phrases including “Love the Process,” “Take a Deep Breath,” and “Good Things Take Time.” Check out OPEN/END’s lookbook in the gallery above, and shop the collection on the OPEN/END website. Everything is purchasable via pre-order to reduce waste, and there is also a selection of lifestyle goods and cookies online to pick up, too.
