Bugs Bunny Models the 'Looney Tunes' x KITH Capsule
The 80-year-old cartoon character is joined by Converse sneakers, plushes and a rug.
Teased by Ronnie Fieg earlier this week, KITH has introduced its entire Looney Tunes collection, including a Bugs Bunny-centric lookbook. Accompanying a full assortment of wearables is a set of graphic Converse Chuck 70s and complementary home goods.
Though Bugs is turning 80 on July 27, he looks younger than ever thanks to the new Looney Tunes Cartoons design. The Brooklyn-born rabbit showcases some of the new KITH items in a fully illustrated lookbook, highlighting sweaters with his own face on them, logo-laden beanies and a co-branded goods featuring both the KITH Box Logo and the entire Looney Tunes crew. Sweatpants, hoodies and even a Golden Bear varsity jacket will all drop as part of the rollout, accompanied by special T-shirts designed to recreate the look and feel of vintage tees.
KITH again enlists Converse for some thematic sneakers, elevating a Chuck 70 with Looney Tunes graphics on both the lateral and medial sides. Black uppers match the garments, while “Just Us, KITH” is emblazoned underneath the translucent sole unit in the classic “That’s All, Folks!” typeface. Finally, a set of kids clothing and lifestyle items, ranging from plushes to rugs to New Era caps and more, will launch alongside the menswear and sneakers, all featuring the Looney Tunes cast.
To commemorate the digital launch, Fieg will host a special event dubbed Saturday Morning Cartoons on KITH’s site. Fieg will showcase four of his favorite Looney Tunes shorts and interview several animation luminaries, including the Executive Producer of HBO‘s Looney Tunes Cartoons series, Pete Browngardt, UCLA professor and animation historian Jerry Beck, and the current Bugs Bunny voice actor, Eric Bauza. Saturday Morning Cartoons is scheduled for 11 a.m. on July 11.
Watch some clips from the new Looney Tunes Cartoons series below. The collaborative Looney Tunes goods will only release on KITH’s web store, not any of its physical outposts, July 13.
Elsewhere, Slam Jam and Converse prepped a red iteration of their reconstructed Chuck Taylor.
