Family Mart Japan to Sell Dragon Ball-Themed Tabemasu Sweet Set
New from Bandai’s “edible mascot” series.
Family Mart has just announced that it will be selling a new Bandai Tabemasu — a short form for “taberareru masukotto” (edible mascot) — in the form of Shenron and a Dragon Ball from the popular anime/manga series.
The Japanese confectionery is made from bean paste, sugar, and mochi flour. Shenron will taste of red bean and matcha while the Dragon Ball will have a creamy custard flavor. So far Bandai has announced nine Dragon Balls, seven of which are the customary 1-7 star designs, with two left as a mystery surprise design.
Those in Japan can find the Dragon Ball Tabemasu dropping on July 28 for a price of ¥369 JPY (approximately $3.50 USD).
