adidas Football has followed up the unveiling of Juventus’ new eye-catching kit by revealing the home and away jerseys for another European giant. For the upcoming season, Real Madrid will wear two jerseys that have been given a “bold yet simple” design to reflect the team’s constant drive for success.

The classic white of Real Madrid’s home jersey has been subtly updated, with a new tonal graphic running across the shirt. The home jersey also features bright “Spring Pink” Three Stripe branding along the sides, referencing a color used on the 2014/15 season’s away jersey. Both the subtle graphic and the contrasting details are a nod to Madrid’s contemporary art culture.

The “Spring Pink” color also ties the home jersey to the away shirt, which sees the color offset with dark blue accents. This color palette is inspired by Madrid at night, and particularly the Plaza De Cibeles.

Launching the kit, Marco Ommicioli, Football Designer at adidas, said, “We wanted to keep the design of this season’s jerseys bold yet simple to reflect the expectation that comes with the badge, and that is to win at all costs. The shirts may only be 140 grams of fabric, but the weight of expectation is much heavier.”

As well as revealing the kits, Real Madrid has also announced that it will be launching a new women’s team. The team will wear the home and third jerseys during its debut season.

Both the home and away jerseys are available from the adidas web store now, and will be worn on pitch for the first time on August 7.
