Vancouver-based luxury performance label Veilance has launched its new buyback and resell program dubbed “RE-SYSTEM.” The move follows a range of sportswear companies who’ve also initiated buy-back programs, such as The North Face’s Renewed and “Clothes the Loop” programs, Patagonia’s “Worn Wear” trade-in and recycling program, as well as Veilance parent-brand Arc-teryx’s “Rock Solid” buyback initiative.

Through “RE-SYSTEM,” customers can trade in gently used gear online or via an Arc’teryx storefront to receive a credit for 20% of the items original price, which can be put towards any future Veilance or Arc’teryx purchase. The items will be thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and repaired (if needed), eventually listed for sale on the initiative’s webpage for up to 60% off the original retail price.

The new initiative comes alongside Arc’teryx’s ambitious goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 65% come 2030, with Veilance being the first luxury performance label to implement such a measure.

In case you missed it, Veilance showcased its full cold-weather system in its recent FW20 lookbook.
