Uniqlo UT continues its foray into Manga graphic-printed T-shirts with its latest Summer 2020 collection, introducing a range of playful original designs that reference three Manga sports series.

The latest drop follows on from Uniqlo UT’s collection that draws graphics from Weekly Young Jump and Ribbon, as well as the capsule that celebrates Doraemon’s 50th anniversary. Now, the Japanese fashion brand brings graphics from Captain Tsubasa, Ashita No Joe, and Ping Pong, comprising eight T-shirts each depicting one of the Manga franchises.

For Captain Tsubasa, Uniqlo UT focuses on the football prodigy Tsubasa Ozora. The series explores Ozora’s growth as a footballer and retells his battles against his rivals Genzo Wakabayashi and Kojiro Hyuga. As a result, the T-shirts feature graphics such as Ozora jumping, Ozora alongside a tiger, a snapshot of two players battling for the ball alongside the phrase “Twin Shot,” and lastly, a print of a football and the acronym SGGK (Super Great Goal Keeper).

Uniqlo UT’s Ashita No Joe T-shirts depict boxing rivals Joe Yabuki and Toru Rikiishi in two fighting situations. Rounding out the collection is the brand’s Ping Pong offerings, which features graphics from the Taiyō Matsumoto-penned series. Images reference the complex themes and challenges that arise in the series, which centers around two childhood friends who both play on the Katase High School table tennis team.

Take a look at the Uniqlo UT Manga Sport collection in the gallery above. The full collection is dropping in stores and on Uniqlo’s website today.
