Although the Class of 2020 wasn’t able to have in-person commencement speeches due to COVID-19, several celebrities, now including The Simpsons, have given graduating students some virtual congratulations.

The Simpsons family members Homer, Bart, Lisa, and an especially exhausted Marge, all appeared in YouTube Originals‘ Dear Class of 2020 livestream via a preprepared video conference. “Well, the job is to be inspirational, and there are plenty of good things: the air is cleaner than ever,” the always optimistic Lisa starts off before her father abruptly bursts into the room. “And drinking at home at 10 in the morning is not only acceptable,” Homer says before taking a gulp of beer, “it’s called coping.”

Perhaps the most poignant moment of all, however, is at the end where Lisa is holding a sign that says “Congrats Class of 2020: Please save us.” The only person in the family taking the speech seriously is Lisa, as Bart can be seen mooning the camera with “20” written on each butt cheek and Marge physically defeated from cooking so much during the coronavirus quarantine.

Celebrities have provided students a lot of attention in compensation for not being able to walk this year. LeBron James and Travis Scott provided one-off tees to the class of 2020, with the proceeds going to charitable causes. Renown artist JR also created the world’s largest Class of 2020 yearbook as part of James’ “Graduate Together” initiative.
