Darryl Brown's Midwest Kids Joins Bud Light for #MIDWESTBREWED Collaboration
Born and bred in the midwest.

Anheuser-Busch’s artist partnerships continue with a Bud Light-indebted #MIDWESTBREWED collaboration masterminded by Darryl Brown and his Midwest Kids label. Encompassing co-branded illustrative tees, the capsule is a celebration of Brown’s blue collar family and the beer brand’s everyman ethos.
Dubbed #MIDWESTBREWED, one shirt features a collegiate typeface and imagery of a trailer-laden truck, presumably hauling a delivery of Bud Light, on the rear while the back of the other tee is emblazoned with a doodled Bud Light can that features Midwest Kids branding and “MADE IN THE MIDWEST” verbiage. Matching text appears on the front of each white T-shirt, which are all sourced and printed in a local Ohio screenprinting shop.
“My approach to design reflects the ethos of my Toledo, Ohio upbringing fused with my family’s joint style of working for great American heritage companies like General Motors and the railroad and steel industries,” Brown explained in a statement. “Our partnership allowed us to represent our shared core values in moments that celebrate and defy challenges to feel equipped for a better future. This collection was created for those who want to dream big.”
The shirts are available for $40 USD on Midwest Kids’ website and Bud Light’s digital storefront.
Last year, Brown spoke to HYPEBEAST about styling Kanye West and getting his brand off the ground.
