British heavy metal rock band Black Sabbath has released a charitable T-shirt for Black Lives Matter causes. The T-shirt is inspired by the band’s 1971 album Master of Reality, adopting the same wavy block font and applying this to read “Black Lives Matter” in purple.
This supportive statement sits on top of a washed, vintage-like black T-shirt that provides a nod to band tees. 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, a movement that fights for the justice, freedom, and liberation of Black lives.
Black Sabbath, which is made up of guitarist Tony Iommi, drummer Bill Ward, bassist Geezer Butler, and vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, is selling the T-shirt on its own website for $25 USD. Shipment is expected to roll out around July 14, 2020. Take a closer look at the T-shirt above, and pre-order your own on Black Sabbath’s website now.
In other news, Infinite Archives and Hiroshi Fujiwara have revived GOODENOUGH’s “END RACISM” T-shirt.
