adidas Originals Presents New Niteball Silhouette
The basketball-inspired lifestyle sneaker is debuting in “Collegiate Navy” and “Pink Tint” colorways.
adidas Originals has presented a new basketball-inspired lifestyle silhouette dubbed the Niteball. Combining pieces both recognizable and fresh with a name adjacent to the popular Nite Jogger, the Niteball is an amalgamation of shape, style and sport from adidas‘s lifestyle division.
Arriving in both “Collegiate Navy” and “Pink Tint” colorways, the Niteball’s most standout feature is its bold Three Stripe graphic, made of large rubberized strips that bridge the gap between the mudguard and eyestays. The rest of the upper consists of layered leather detailing atop a synthetic base, anchor-like fabric lace loops, textured heels and jagged TPU clips. Down below, the LIGHTSTRIKE foam midsole supplies a shape similar to the adidas Streetball.
Both pairs use cream and tan tones for their base, but each opts for different accent colors. “Collegiate Navy” supplies a heavy dose of rich blue, bolstered by sky blue, yellow and orange pops. “Pink Tint” taps burgundy and a small dose of two blue hues — navy and sky — while earning its name from the soft pink tone around the eyestays. Each is rounded off with reflective silver detailing around the T-shaped toebox.
The adidas Niteball “Collegiate Navy” and “Pink Tint” will both release on July 1 via the adidas webstore. Each pair is priced at $120 USD.
