Supreme and Barbour Team-Up for a Waxed Spring 2020 Capsule
Bringing that wet weather heat.

For Spring 2020, Supreme has enlisted the expertize of quintessential British brand Barbour for a collaborative capsule — feat. skateboarder/designer Blondey McCoy for its editorial campaign — that includes four lightweight waxed cotton items: a field jacket, waist bag, crusher hat and camp cap.
Originally made with the sailors, fishermen and dockers of North East England in mind, the now-heritage brand’s namesake founder John Barbour has, since 1984, kept it all in the family, having it passed down five generations to date. Specializing in oilskin garments that are created from dousing heavy cloth with a hot mix of oil, wax and gum, the end product is basically an armor for harsh and extreme weather conditions. Today, Barbour has crossed into the fashion world, especially within the sartorial and equestrian spheres, and is known for its wax cotton jackets, namely the Bedale, the Beaufort and the Border.
For the collaboration with Supreme, Barbour has used its signature lightweight waxed cotton material for a waist bag, crusher hat, camp cap, and the spotlighted field jacket that is inspired by the Bedale, all of which come in a bold leopard print, traffic-stopping orange, or a staple black.
The Supreme x Barbour Spring 2020 collection will see a global online-only release, available via the skateboarding label’s main webstore on May 7, and on its Japan webstore on May 9, with free shipping on orders over $150 USD.
