Sillage Champions New Balance With 990v3-Shaped Incense Chamber
Based on Nicolas “Yuthanan” Chalmeau’s two-year-old worn pair.

Sillage, the Tokyo-based label headed by Nicolas “Yuthanan” Chalmeau, is releasing an incense chamber modeled on the founder’s favorite sneaker, the New Balance 990v3.
The incense chamber is made by a local artisan in Nagoya, Japan and takes its shape from Chalmeau’s very own pair of worn, two-year-old 990v3s. It maintains plenty of detail from the original shoe, showcasing its signature “N” emblem on the side and the dips and flows of how each piece of the sneaker overlays each other.
An incense holder is placed at the back of the shoe and is secured via a cork plug, while the scent channels through the chamber and escapes through the foot opening of the 990v3.
Sillage will release the New Balance 990v3 incense chamber on May 6 on the Sillage website. Take a closer look at the chamber in the gallery above, and watch it in action below.
