$ilkMoney Delivers Third Album 'Attack of the Future Shocked, Flesh Covered, Meatbags of the 85'
The Divine Council member continues to display his brazen-faced style.

Divine Council member $ilkMoney is back with his third album, Attack of the Future Shocked, Flesh Covered, Meatbags of the 85. The project arrives just six months after his sophomore full-length, GTFOMDTNERFAYMFTBOILT (G.T.F.O.M.D: There’s Not Enough Room for All You Motha F*ckas to Be on It Like This).
The project was initially teased back in April when the Virginia-native tweeted “No outdated bullsh*t raps from years ago that I’ve been holding on to for no reason that have nothing to do with what’s going in today’s world.” He continued, saying “the next tweet after this one will be an album.” Today he’s followed through on that, delivering 13 new tracks that display his signature brazen-faced sound.
I have so much music just chilling. Just let me perfect it. I’ve been putting all my thoughts, emotions, my all into the music I’ve been writing lately.

Every song I drop this year, I wrote it this year. No outdated bullshit raps from years ago that I’ve been holding on to for no reason that have nothing to do with what’s going on in today’s world.

His raps are still spat at a breakneck pace and they are just as vulgar, visceral, and visual as they’ve always been. “Knock the nose of you n*ggas face like Alexander the Great did the Sphinx/Get hit with a hundred and eighty-two shots before you blink/Couldn’t wash my sins away like dinner plates or food scraped in the sink/But I bet this dinner plate that glimmer hit a goal just as great with this mink,” he raps on “White People Don’t Clean Their Chicken.” He supplies these narratives atop various airy, spaced-out beats that remain fueled by old school samples and instrumentation. From Lawrence Fishburne’s eerie Deep Cover monologue about killing a man that looks like himself on “Amena Sehay, I Mean It’s a God” to the heavily warped product advertisement on “This One’s a Doozie,” $ilkMoney continues to flex his penchant for the esoteric pockets of hip-hop on his third album.
