Netflix and ESPN Partner With Spotify for 'The Last Dance' Curated Playlists
Featuring selections centered around Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.
Netflix and ESPN have teamed up with Spotify to deliver playlists centered around its latest docuseries, The Last Dance. The sets feature both music and podcasts selections, with the show’s music supervisor Rudy Chung partially handling the former and Spotify’s internal podcast curation team handling the latter.
The Last Dance official music playlist includes the Chicago Bulls‘ starting five theme song “Sirius” by the Alan Parsons Project, Drake and Future‘s “Jumpman” and “Victory” by Diddy, The Notorious B.I.G. and Busta Rhymes to name a few. Meanwhile, the podcast playlist, entitled After The Last Dance, features episodes focusing on Michael Jordan and his legacy.
“This has been a monumental team effort spearheaded by Jason Hehir and our editors,” Chung said in a statement. “In putting together the music our main concern was having the songs help tell the story for each episode, but we’re thrilled fans have responded to the soundtrack as a standalone. Hopefully younger fans will have gained a newfound appreciation of not only MJ but also the great music from his era.”

Stream the official music playlist and After The Last Dance on Spotify. The Last Dance airs every Monday on ESPN in the U.S. and Netflix everywhere else.
