Craft Leather Home Slippers With Hender Scheme's DIY Kit
Watch the short video tutorial.
Hender Scheme has dropped new leather house slippers you can craft on your own. Following a small coin bank from last month, the new silhouette comes with a full DIY kit that puts your craftsmanship to the test — “Craft Yourself / Room Shoes.”
The DIY setup comes with a needle, white threading and supple cow leather panels with small pre-punched holes. A light raw leather footbed comes with perforations around the edges, meant to be threaded through to attach to the silhouette’s suede uppers — one panel for the heel and another for the forefoot. Both panels are reinforced with parallel stitches at the midsection — the result is simple slip-on house slippers that taper slightly towards the forefoot. Thankfully, Hender Scheme offered a short, comprehensive video tutorial in case anyone gets confused at any point of the process.
Hender Scheme’s “Craft Yourself / Room Shoes” is currently available at the label’s website for $111 USD.
