Following 'The Last Dance' ESPN Announces 'Game 6: The Movie'
An in-depth look at when Chicago Bulls met the Utah Jazz at the 1998 NBA Finals.
After the finale of The Last Dance docuseries, ESPN announced the upcoming release of Game 6: The Movie. The unprecedented cinematic production is an in-depth look at Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals, which saw the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz go head to head in one of the most iconic games in NBA history.
Available on ESPN and for streaming via the ESPN App, Game 6: The Movie will feature exclusive, never-before-seen game footage captured by five different NBA Entertainment cameras and a presentation of the historic game in new innovative ways. Additionally, the live game telecast will be accompanied by original commentary from Bob Costas, Isiah Thomas, Doug Collins, Ahmad Rashad and Jim Gray.
It is interesting to note that Game 6: The Movie marks the first time the legendary game between the Bulls and Jazz will be available in high-definition. The 1998 NBA Finals Game 6 is best remembered for Michael Jordan‘s game-winning shot. Ending the game 87-86 to secure the victory and earn the Chicago Bulls’ sixth NBA Championship in eight years, the game is considered one of the most dramatic events in NBA history and was heavily covered in The Last Dance.
Game 6: The Movie is set to premiere 9 p.m. EDT, following encore airings of Episode 9 of The Last Dance at 7 p.m. EDT and Episode 10 at 8 p.m. EDT May 20.
