adidas Skateboarding's Jenn Soto & Mariah Duran Deliver Complementary Superstar ADVs
The good friends team up for a contrasting two-pack full of special details.

adidas Skateboarding athletes Jenn Soto and Mariah Duran may come from vastly different backgrounds — Soto is from New Jersey while Duran hails from New Mexico — but the two are fast friends who’ve teamed up for a duo of new takes on the Superstar ADV. Boasting complementary dark and light styles, Soto and Duran’s Superstars aim to show the differences in their paths and the similarities in their elite skill levels.
Soto’s design arrives in a classic black colorway with silver embellishments. Stamps of her famous “Fly Past The Moon” tattoo are present on the heel tabs, and more moon graphics are present on the midfoot’s perforations. Insoles nod to the Bronx, New York and Jersey City, New Jersey — the locales where she was born and raised, respectively.
Meanwhile, Duran’s Superstar is presented in a crisp all-white makeup. A full-color cactus graphic graces the heel to salute New Mexico, and light blue insoles feature the skater’s signature. Where Soto’s pair added cut-out moons to the forefoot, Duran’s opts for stars.
There are some similarities to be had as well. Both shoes feature hi-vis reflective detailing on the Three Stripe graphics and heel tabs, plus gold foil name stamps on the midfoot and more gold on the tongue badge. Each uses a full leather upper for feel, an adiPRENE sockliner for comfort and a sticky rubber outsole for on-board grip.
The Jenn Soto and Mariah Duran Superstar ADVs will release on the adidas webstore come May 9, and are priced at $100 USD each.
