Nike Sportswear Explores '90s Psychedelia For Summer 2020 T-Shirt Collection
Tie-dye, a take on ‘The X-Files’ and much more.
Nike Sportswear has unveiled its Summer 2020 collection of T-shirts, referencing ’90s science-fiction television, psychedelia, tie-dye and more for the warmer months ahead.
Kicking off the seasonal drop are standout offerings such as Nike’s “The Swoosh Is Out There” T-shirt, which is a play on the ’90s TV show The X-Files‘ slogan, “The Truth Is Out There.” The reinterpreted statement is placed within a box on the front of the T-shirt and is joined by a typical alien head motif.
Elsewhere, Nike showcases a tie-dyed T-shirt sporting a warped, psychedelic take on the Nike Swoosh logo, as well as a comic book-inspired offering, where the swoosh emblem incorporates pull quotes in speech bubbles and a pair of Air Force 1s in its design. Rounding out the collection is a top with Nike, Inc.’s mailing address on the rear and the signature shoebox on the front.
