NEEDLES has just teamed up with Japanese eyewear brand MATSUDA for a retro-inspired pair of shades. The “James” sunglasses feature a titanium frame matched with acetate components. Available in the colors red or black, the James sunglasses see a functional flip-up design to easily change from colored lens to normal vision.
Details include a Papillon butterfly motif stamp at the temples, arabesques engravings at the side, and co-branding on the inside. Each pair is handmade by a skilled craftsman in Sabae City, Fukui, Japan. Those interested can find them online at Nepenthes for ¥98,000 JPY (approximately $911 USD).
