West Atlanta Rapper Kenny Mason Drops Debut Album "Angelic Hoodrat"
Paired with a new music video for the project’s title track.
Kenny Mason made his breakthrough late last year with “HIT”, a track that the rapper brought his self-aware introspection to packaged in a vehicle of witty flows, head-turning instrumentals and the ability to break into a sing-songy melody at any given second. Today he debuts his first album Angelic Hoodrat. Through 14 tracks, Kenny showcases his lyrical ability and need for experimentation. What results is a bold proclamation full of originality and some definite promise in-store for the future.
After premiering his guitar-heavy “Metal Wings” complete with auto-tuned crooning at the end of February, Mason has also queued up the “Angelic Hoodrat” music video. In it, Kenny exchanges the raging guitar and metal aesthetic to maneuver through the dimly lit Atlanta streets, his heart bleeding through his white pocket tee. By the time he’s levitating, it’s clear that his charisma holds some serious staying power.
