IWC Delivers 2020 Portugieser Yacht Club Moon & Tide Timepiece
A timely take on the premium seaman’s watch.

Luxury watch label IWC has crafted its Portugieser Yacht Club timepieces since 1930, with newer iterations always pushing the boundaries of both opulence and function. 2020’s premium edition of the watch repurposes the shape of the recently-introduced Portugieser Yacht Club Moon & Tide watch, upgrading it with lavish detailing.
An 18k red-gold case ensures the watch retains head-turning appeal, encasing a sophisticated mechanism that reveals whether the tide is high or low and neap or spring. Furthermore, both hemispheres’ moon phases are shown at the display located at 12 ‘o clock. Gold-plated luminescent hands, a gold flange, similarly-toned numbers, clasp and a color-matched date indicator reinforce the pristine appearance, with a navy face and hands that tie in with the Portugieser Yacht Club’s naval legacy.
Weighing in at $33,100 USD, make an appointment to review the latest Portugieser watch on IWC’s website.
Much more subtle but no less refined, IWC recently delivered its Big Pilot’s Watch in “Black Carbon.”
