Desiigner Roams Desolate Streets in New "Survivor" Video
Reflecting on the state of the world.
The world has all but shut down amidst the coronavirus pandemic, and Desiigner is giving a glimpse at the desolate environment in his latest video. Dubbed “Survior,” the visual sees the rapper roaming the streets of major cities amid their new arid landscapes as he reflects on making it through all of the madness.
The video was directed by Bobby Misner and Desiigner, and produced by Zana Ray. As the rapper walks through barren grocery stores and empty streets, the scenes are spliced with actual news footage depicting the unprecedented state of the world.
Desiigner makes one final pitstop at urgent care, where he’s scanned by medical workers before being allowed to enter for his appointment. See it all go down now in the video above.
The visual follows behind the rapper’s record “DIVA” last fall, in which he enjoyed livelier times while partying in Las Vegas.
Elsewhere in music, Squarepusher also recently reflected on isolation in a calming “Detroit People Mover” visual.
