Abby Jasmine Premieres New 'Who Cares?' Project
Alongside her new episodic “Coneheads” music video.
Abby Jasmine has delivered her new nine-track album Who Cares? courtesy of Cinematic Music Group along with the premiere of “Coneheads,” an emotional visual on how the music industry has shaped her personal relationships and the fight to stay true to herself.
“Coneheads” follows the first episode, “Groovy” featuring Guapdad 4000. Directed by collaborator Mike Smigiel, the visual advances the narrative of her rising stardom interrupting everyday life. It’s not too far from the recent Kehlani “Everybody Business” music video. Abby showcases her growing vocal chops and ear for melody, both attributes as strong as ever.
“Who Cares? has a double meaning to me. On one hand, Who Cares? is about this industry sh*t — let me just make some music,” Jasmine told HYPEBEAST. “And on the other hand, who cares about what other people think? Who cares about what I’m saying as a person? Sometimes it’s easy to feel small, so it’s also a question of who’s listening. Really though, you can take it however you want. I shouldn’t be the one to explain it. You should listen to the music, and draw your own meaning from it.”
